Volker Teske (Pty) Ltd is a proudly family-owned company with a long-standing reputation for excellence in woodworking machinery, engineering, and technical support. Established in 1978 by the late Volker Teske, a highly skilled mechanical engineer from Berlin, the company has built its success on German engineering principles, craftsmanship, and reliability.

Following Volker’s passing in 1990, the business was taken forward by his wife, Helga Teske, a second-generation Master Woodworker from Germany. With over four decades of hands-on experience and formal training in woodworking, Helga has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s technical expertise and customer-focused approach. In 2001, she was joined by their son, Ingo Teske, representing the fourth generation in the woodworking industry, further strengthening the company’s legacy and future growth.

Today, Volker Teske (Pty) Ltd offers a comprehensive range of woodworking and engineering services, supplying, manufacturing, installing, repairing, and reconditioning machines for clients across South Africa and the wider African continent.

What We Do

We specialise in the manufacture of high-quality woodworking machinery, with our Rotary Laminating Press (Easy Press) and Heavy-Duty Sash Clamps being among our most popular and widely used products. With over 400 rotary presses in operation, our machines are trusted for their durability, efficiency, and practical design.

In addition to manufacturing, we:

  • Source, install, and repair a wide range of woodworking machines

  • Overhaul and recondition both locally sourced and imported machinery

  • Import high-quality second-hand machines directly from Germany

  • Supply machine consumables, tooling, and safety equipment

  • Offer emergency repairs, planned maintenance, and preventative service contracts
